… and it’s 20 years later and it still makes me cry. The title of the movie is The Land Before Time.
I still remember the scene that caused the most waterworks. Little Foot thought he saw his mom, and he got so excited that he ran to lick her, only to realize that it was just his shadow on the side of the mountain. She had actually died earlier, and he had witnessed this himself, which made this scene all the more poignant. I wasn’t happy with the ending even though they got to the Great Valley because I was still hopeful that his mother would still be alive and waiting for him when he got there. This shattered my belief that all tales have a happy ever after. Animals can die and never come back with magic. Waaahhh. Mabuhay si Cobra nga ituy!
It’s a wonderful film, though. All kids should watch it.

oh dee.. I think we share similar childhood long term memory. It made me cry as well. I really love this film. I can imagine all the characters in my mind up until now. There is Sarah (CERA), Petrie,Ducky, Spike and Little Foot. Every year when my teaching theme is about dinosaurs, I show my students this film. I even have a pic taken while i was showing this film.
