My boss is a big believer of Feng Shui and apparently there is a feng shui master who calculated the real start of the Chinese New Year to be today. So he instructed the guys to make offerings to the fortune god. I wasn’t able to take a picture because I didn’t realize they were gonna dismantle everything soon after.
I was able to take a picture of the lions he had placed strategically across our glass door. He sternly admonished us that we can’t move or lift those lions until the CNY so we taped them to the counter.
I wonder if the feng shui master is also the one responsible for my boss generously giving CNY bonuses to all his employees, including his newest one who isn’t even a month old in the company? He’s giving me a full bonus, not even pro-rated, even though he told me I was getting a bonus after one year in the company.
Take a look at these packages that some suppliers gave my boss. I see a lot of these in grocery stores these days. I wonder if the shape of the boxes have any special significance? It personally reminds me of a Christmas tree. XD

sa korea naman, you're 1yr old na the moment you're born. kasi 9 mos ka naman daw kinarga sa tiyan.

I think Ape.. mali ka ata… Check your dad about it. My chinese friends really are 1 year older in the Chinese Calendar. Dee, same with Korean yung pag count ng age nila.

Whooops…Yesterday was actually what they call as mini New Year. I can't grab what they really mean about it but they told me that just like us, Christians, this day was their Christmas. hehehehe! 😉 So next
