Tapa King opened a franchise in Singapore this March, so we decided to check it out. One more reason to drop by Lau Pa Sat! I went with Betchie, Yves and Arlyn.
I had the tapa king meal with a side order of salted egg with tomatoes. They served their meals on a sheet of paper over an entire tray.
At first I was annoyed that they had tomato salsa instead of the typical achara, but when I tasted the salsa, they were forgiven.
However, I though the tapa was lacking in flavor compared to the one from Jologs, though it was more tender. There was a live Pinoy band performing at the center of the hawkers’ center, and they even sang “Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang,” so it was a very Pinas-like experience.
