I realized that I had been wearing the same black sandals to work almost everyday for months now and decided that it was time to get another one. I do have other sandals, but they’re not flats, and ever since I came to Singapore, I’ve gotten traumatized by all the walking we have to do here and have shunned heels, reserving them only for special occasions.
So today, at 1pm on the dot, I left the office and raced off to Suntec City for a much-needed pick-me-up – Red Mango frozen yogurt… then retail therapy!
I headed to Charles & Keith and tried looking for some brown sandals that were on sale but I fell in love with these flats which were not what I was supposed to be looking for.
I walked around for quite some time to think about it but in the end, I went home with them. It’s better to buy something you love than something practical, right? Or maybe I just confused the rules of shopping with the rules in picking a partner in life.
