I am not one of those girls who retouch their makeup everytime they go to the loo. Usually I just apply my makeup in the morning and that’s it. No more retouch (or combing my hair, but that’s another story) during the rest of the day. Thank goodness I found makeup that stays on even after I eat or sweat a lot.
I think the most important must-have makeup for any girl is cheek stain. I realized this the first time I wore it and got “You’re blooming!” comments. I like cheek stain and not powder blush on because it looks more natural and lasts longer. I love this product that I got as a birthday gift last year (along with my Suesh brush set) from my College friends. It’s potent stuff – a matchhead-sized amount is all I need for each application and it lasts throughout the day. It’s supposedly cheap too, though I don’t know the actual price because it was just given to me.
A product I bought recently is Loreal infallible lipstick. At first I was a skeptic because of the sticky, hard-to-apply consistency of the colored tube, but once I topped it with the clear sealant, it felt great on the lips. But what really had me sold was when I noticed that the tester I tried out on the back of my hand was still there even after two days. It doesn’t leave any lipstick marks on the rims of glasses or people’s cheeks and stays on even after two meals. Only makeup remover can remove it. It doesn’t chap unlike Max Factor’s lipfinity which boasts the same long lasting wear but it has the same drying effect on the lips so I always make sure to coat my kissers with petroleum jelly before going to bed. The shade I chose (after testing all the colors) is Golden Berry.
Now all I need is face powder that will keep my T-zone oil-free throughout the day. Good luck with that. I don’t like wearing foundation because it’s too thick and I luckily don’t need that much coverage anyway.
Speaking of makeup, I just bought a Sephora stippling brush after months of resisting. I’ve wanted to buy a face brush since 2008 when I saw Bodyshop’s brushes. Sephora’s are better (though more expensive), though. They say that you have to sleep on something before making a purchase, so I think I’m entitled to this by now.

maybe they just want to look their best all the time? but yeah sometimes it drives me crazy when we go to the loo and then i have to wait for them while they retouch everything. @.@
