I Love the Iphone 3GS

After months of thinking about it, I finally caved and got an iPhone 3GS from Singtel last Friday. Blame it on my two colleagues whom I asked to “sell” the iphone to me. That morning was the first time I ever held an iphone and that night, I had one of my own. I got it with a plan bundled with 12GB free internet usage monthly. And here it is:

As you can see from the picture, I’ve already downloaded a lot of apps, all of them free from the apps store, thanks to a list I found on the web. The phone had built-in apps already as well. My faves so far:

Facebook – Well, duh. A little red number shows up on the upper right side of the app when you have notifications, keeping you updated.
Tweetdeck – This is for Twitter. It works like the desktop version.
Foursquare – a location-based social networking website that allows you to check in locations and share statuses or tips about those places. I love the tips, they’re very helpful.
Stanza – An ebook reader for bookworms like me. It also has a vast library of free ebooks. I downloaded a lot of classics already. I’m currently reading The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Y! Messenger – To chat with family and friends via YM instant messaging.
Hangman – Remember that game that we used to love playing as kids? You can play it again, by yourself or against a friend. It even captures the chalk hangman on blackboard visual.
*Quartz 2 Deluxe Free – I’m not really a big fan of games. I just like simple ones, and this simple puzzle game is perfect for me. Perfect being highly addicting. Eeps.

But apps aside, I love the totally cool interface, that I can sync my macbook’s itunes to my iphone’s ipod, that I can read my emails and surf the internet while on the go (which was my #1 reason for getting it) and that my text messages look like this:

No regrets so far. Love love love it! 🙂
