Boss Ed, my former boss from KPMG in Makati, was in Singapore for a business trip, so we met up for dinner last night. I brought him to Funan Digitalife Mall since he said he wanted to check out gadgets but it closed early at 9pm so he wasn’t able to buy anything. He said he wanted to eat curry, and thank goodness we found some in this place called Inle Myanmar at the basement of the building next to Funan. So he got his wish. I don’t usually like curry, but I liked theirs. We had the set meal for two which includes two cups of rice, two main dishes, one side dish and two drinks/desserts. We had chicken curry, two shrimp dishes and fresh strawberry juice. I loved the shrimp with vermicelli dish which made me realize that I hadn’t had vermicelli (known in the Philippines as sotanghon) in a while. I also loved the strawberry juice which seems to have been mixed with pureed banana as well. I was so full to bursting at the end of the meal.
It was wonderful to see Boss Ed again. He was downright ecstatic to hear about a good news I shared with him. I was also happy to hear his, which involves his office possibly opening a branch in Singapore which could have him flying here a lot in the months to come. 🙂
