Chu is here for a business trip, so we his college friends met up with him for lunch and dinner last Saturday. We had lunch at Kabayan in Lucky Plaza then walked around Orchard helping him chase after the elusive iphone 4, to no avail. We were so exhausted that Cate and I fell asleep while sitting on the floor in Kinokuniya bookstore.
We eventually headed to Bonifacio, a Filipino restaurant near the Outram MRT station. After spending some time heading the wrong direction, we finally found it thanks to Google maps. We ordered a bunch of dishes, just one order for each. This way we got to finish everything and as a consequence, we were so full to bursting after we were done. I have to say, though, that while the food was a lot cheaper than 7107, it wasn’t as nice tasting.
After that we headed to Plaza Singapura, and as luck would have it, Monet spotted the free shuttle bus to Marina Bay Sands. So we boarded that and rode it to Marina Bay Sands. We were supposed to buy $20 tickets to climb up to Skypark, but unfortunately, we arrived 1 minute short of closing time – 10pm. So no go. Well at least we got to see the lobby.
