We decided to celebrate Joc’s birthday at the East Coast Park. Joc and Jemma cooked the food while Ivy, Gay and I bought the drinks and the birthday cake. We rode buses and ended up at completely different sides of East Coast Park, which turned out to be so huge. After walking around and not finding Joc and Jem, I decided to rent a bike and ride around to look for them. After about half an hour of riding non-stop, I still couldn’t find them, so I pulled over and asked someone where the wakeboarding area was. He replied, “It’s about 5 kilometers away from here.” I wanted to faint when he said that. So I called Jemma and told them to ride a cab to where I had left Ivy and Gay while I drove back to them. Thus we finally met, whereupon we immediately brought out the food and devoured them with gusto. Yum! Jemma is a good cook. Jang Geum indeed! The fudge cake that we had bought from Yamazaki was delicious too.

Happy to be have found each other at last! Now we can start eating! |
A very Filipino feast – fried lumpia, sausages, pancit, chicken popcorn, cake. |
Birthday girl blows out her candles. I know what she wished for! |
We started eating at around 7pm and just sat and talked all the way till close to midnight. Girls love to talk, enough said. What did we talk about? Traumatic childhood experiences, giddy love stories, all sorts of things. It was so much fun! As Ivy aptly put it: “time well spent.” Till the next episode. 🙂
