I weighed in yesterday morning and was happy to note that I had lost 0.9 kg since last week, making that a total of 3.3 kg lost this year. Yippee! I am so happy! So happy that a lot of people have been noticing that I seem to be blooming or glowing lately. I had this conversation over lunch last Thursday:
Tyne: You’re blooming, Dee.
Me: Because I’m in love… with losing weight.
It’s true, though. Losing weight has become my obsession lately. I feel ecstatic when I put on clothes and find that they are now looser on me.
But it goes both ways – sometimes I put on an outfit and feel sad that it doesn’t look that good on me anymore because it’s no longer fitted. But so what? I can always have them altered.
Anyway, when I went to the park on Friday I got too distracted by the view and spent way to much time there, making me late for my morning preparations. Err. I realized that I needed to buy a sports watch so I would be aware of the time next time. And so that evening…
We bought them at the Robinson’s sale in Expo. And yes, we purposely wore matching shirts to work that day – Tyne’s idea, not mine, for a change. We have dress down Fridays that’s why we can wear T-shirts.
Then I spent cheat day Saturday gorging on Kabayan‘s sizzling bangus, leche flan and egg pie; Nando‘s peri-peri chicken, corn, fries and apple juice; and J Co‘s donuts and hot chocolate.
The first one was late lunch with Maya, after which we headed to Sephora and availed of the freebie makeover sessions and fake tattoos that they offered. The last two was dinner and dessert with Chi and Gelle, to celebrate Gelle’s birthday. It’s the first time I’ve seen Chi since her wedding and marriage really suits her – she’s glowing and a lot prettier.
This morning I met up with Chi again but this time with our high school classmate Jeanie, who is in Singapore for a business trip. We had brunch at McDonalds and since I pigged out on a hash brown, a pancake and iced milo, I was left with little calories for the rest of the day.
I had fun chatting with the two about married life and men’s quirks, though. They said they were planning to have kids in two years and they wanted to do it together so they could have each other as a support system, adding that I could still join them. Err, thanks for the pressure but I don’t think I can cram for this like an exam! Haha.
After that Jeanie had to go to Ikea with her hubby and Chi and I walked around and found ourselves shopping, as always. Eeps.
There was one funny instance when we were both poring through racks of clothes and she came to me to show me a dress she found really nice – and I was holding the exact same thing in a different color. Haha. We bought both. XD
In the evening I got hungry and computed that I could still have my favorite aglio olio pasta. So I headed to Bliss restaurant and ordered one for takeaway then walked over to the park’s lake banks to sit down for a picnic. Solace is not always a bad thing. 🙂
I’m so excited for the next months to unfold. 🙂

hahaha! actually, i almost had a heart attack at my doctor's yesterday. i gained four more lbs even though i've been cutting on rice and have even started the after-six diet. and i didnt even go out during the weekends for two straight weeks! <br />on a side note, im seeing my endocrinologist. i think my weight gain is due to my thyroid acting up again.
Dee says
