We had a pre-valentines singles’ date last night. Our requirement was to dress up, and I decided to wear this dress that I bought last month. It was on sale so I could not try it on and it was free size, so I was glad when it fit me. Hihi.
We headed to Chijmes where we had dinner at this lovely outdoor Italian place called Pizzeria Giardino which boasts of wood-fired pizzas and alfresco dining. We loved the prosciutto and diavoli pizzas and the calamari, but not so much the tortellini, which tasted like the pasta was not cooked well enough. We had gotten there so late so we were ravenous and gobbled up the food and drinks so fast, you’d have thought we hadn’t eaten in days. I was so hungry that I wasn’t able to take any decent pictures of the food and the place so I borrowed one from their website. I really love the ambience of the place! I actually fell in love with it the first time I saw it some weeks ago when I first visited Chijmes and vowed to visit it someday and that someday was yesterday.

I love Chijmes. Where else could you find a bunch of cozy restaurants and bars around a chapel centerpiece? It’s unique.
After dinner, we hunted for something else to do. We found the bars a tad expensive for our budgets, so we decided to go to Partyworld KTV at Nex mall instead. When we were ushered into our room, we were surprised at how huge it was. There was even a pool table and a massage chair. It could have fit 20 people or so. And it wasn’t even that expensive. Wow!
We sang and danced and played pool and got massaged to our hearts’ content. It was a happy valentines date indeed. Not bad for the firing squad. Who says singles don’t have fun on valentines day? 😉
