I just came back from watching Thor and have about 30 minutes to tap out a blog but I just have to get this out: I LOVE THOR!!!
Yeah I mean the guy as in Chris Hemsworth, but you can say that I also loved the movie itself.
It was a visual feast. I was totally wowed by the special effects, most especially with how they portrayed Asgard… those amazing floating buildings… that multi-faceted bridge…
Granted, two hours was not long enough to give the characters and the story time to develop so the pacing was a bit too rushed to be believable (I’m sorry, but you can’t expect me to believe that a cocky arrogant guy would turn meek after just one humbling moment), but it was still a good story nonetheless.
In fact, I now realize that the fast pacing was probably a good thing as there wasn’t a boring moment at all. There was plenty of action and there was also some humor in the script, the first one being the line one girl uttered upon seeing Thor after they run into him with a car: “Does he need CPR? Coz I totally know CPR.”
I am so thankful to Thor for making me forget month end madness. He awoke this heart of mine from its long Odin sleep. Now excuse me while I go find a hubble telescope. He misses me and I have to search for him. 😉
