Three Fridays ago, I slept over at Arlyn’s place because her brother was away for the weekend. I fell in love with her open closets so I took a trip to Ikea and soon had this in my room:
Turbo clothes rack and Komplement multi-use hanger from Ikea |
I have a small wooden closet but it’s not tall enough to accomodate my dresses along with my other clothes which have to take up space at the floor of the closet. After I transferred my clothes and coats on the clothes rack, I suddenly had a lot of space for my other tops and bottoms which I used to just stuff as crumpled-up balls. Now I just hang them up too and everything is so visible and reachable.
As for the multi-use hanger, I had always eyed it whenever I went to Ikea before, but I only realized that I really wanted it when I saw how useful it was for Arlyn. I love how I can now see exactly what dresses and scarves and belts I have so it’s easier to plan outfits.
The Friday after that, Arlyn and I slept over at Yves’s service apartment. It was her last weekend there, and we wanted to take advantage of the bathtub. Haha. So I bought some Sephora bath cubes for us and we took turns using the tub. Though I had been there last time, I didn’t really pay attention to the painting above the bed until that night. I’ve been thinking of putting a picture above my bed because it’s so bare, but I realized that a painting looked classier. Suddenly, I badly wanted one and so the next day… tada!
Looks nice, doesn’t it? It’s not actually a real painting. I realized that they were expensive so I did a workaround. I found a picture of a painting on the internet, printed it, and put it on my wall. Clever huh? Or a cheapskate, I know. I do intend to find a real painting one of these days, I just needed to do something to satiate my low EQ. >.<
Yeah I know, I have too many things in my room. I am such a pack rat. I love all the things in it, though, and I am so glad that last year, I finally got my own room again. The bag stand is actually Ikea’s Portis hat and coat rack. The accessories organizer on the wall was given to me by Maya; she bought it from Daiso. The side table was bought fully assembled from Courts, and it has a hilarious story behind it that you can read about here.
I just realized that I have so many things from Ikea in my room, including this potpourri. It looks really pretty and smells really nice too! 🙂
