My old speakers, the ones that I actually brought with me to Singapore all the way from Makati, have been quite faulty of late, so I decided to replace it with something small this time, should I feel the need to pack up and move again in the future. I bought an X-mini capsule speaker. To my pleasant surprise, it does live up to its slogan – “it’s not about the size.” For such a small thing it produces such a big sound. And for such a good quality sound you also get a hell of a lot more convenience because not only is it smaller than your average speakers, which are quite tedious to move around with your laptop or iphone or ipod or ipad, but it also gets its electricity from a USB port, thereby doing away with the need for finding a socket to plug it in. Also, it is more convenient to bring along to camping trips or parties if you want to use your iphone to play music. I got the smallest cheapest one, though, and I think it can only play for four hours. Perhaps the slightly bigger more expensive one can last longer. Interesting fact – did you know this company was founded in Singapore? Cool huh?
