“Because it’s nice to escape that busy life and just go to the park for that fun, bright and warm party with friends and barBQ. And time is like a long bicycle ride with balloons and a strong wind brushing your hair and carrying your troubles behind.”
That was Brian’s description on the photo album he uploaded of the event. I have to agree with him. That was precisely the reason why I planned my birthday celebration with my hometown friends in East Coast Park.
It was easy to plan this party, I just went online to reserve and pay for the barbeque pit for the day after my birthday, and ordered all the barbeque ingredients and tools (coals, tongs, ice chests, etc) online too. They delivered it straight to the park so we didn’t have to lug it there ourselves.
It was so hassle-free, except for when we needed to cook the food. I didn’t have any prior experience with getting a barbeque started, but luckily for me, my friends volunteered to help. Brian and Elma got the coals going while Tatsie and Gay cooked all the barbeque.
After posing for photos and eating, we ended the night with a laughter-laden game of charades, thanks to funny memorable impressions of the movies Spiderman, The Matrix, and Slumdog Millionaire.
Most of the photos were taken by Brian, who is the best photographer I personally know. You can always count on him to take professional-level photos and this time he did not disappoint. This is a photo-heavy post thanks to him.
The bike and balloons make for great photography accessories, don’t they?
The bike was rented and we blew up the balloons ourselves, tying them together with torn up plastic bags. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed the event. 🙂
