Don’t you agree with the above? I certainly do! Kudos to Nescafe for their winning packaging! That’s not the only winning thing about that box though, it’s more than just a pretty face, I assure you. This has been my favorite mocha-in-a-sachet for some time now.
I had asked my friend Dred to buy one for me since she was dropping by Fairprice before work, and when she saw that they also had a hazelnut latte variant, she got inspired to give it a go too. I had never tried that flavor before and I got curious, so we swapped sachets so I could taste it.
We made ourselves some cuppas right after lunch because we have low eq like that it was a cold rainy day, perfect timing for hot coffee. Look at them, oh so frothy, just like the ones you buy from cafes, and at a fraction of the price! A cup of cafe coffee costs about 6 bucks but this one falls below 2 bucks per sachet. That’s how you look at it by the way, not compare it to a typical 3-in-1. I mean come on, they’re not even in the same league. Geez. (Defensive? Haha.)
Look at me, enjoying the delicious aroma of hazelnut latte! Feeling like an actress for an ad. LOL! But it really does smell good though. I notice that is always the case with nut-based coffees, like when Starbucks does their Christmas toffee nut lattes.
And the verdict? It tastes good too! It’s sweet enough for non-hardcore coffee drinkers, like Dred. She loved it because it was sweet. She thought the mocha was too bitter, though, haha! I told her that’s what I loved about it. It’s not bitter in a strong way though. It’s kinda hard to explain, so just go and try it yourself. 😀
