Spoiler Alert

This happened fairly recently. One fine day in the office, I was just minding my own business and doing my work when I couldn’t help but notice how noisily my colleagues X* and Y* were talking. They were just having a private conversation but they talked as if they wanted the whole world to hear.

Suddenly, I got an instant message from my colleague Derpina.*

Later on, I got another instant message, this time from a different colleague, Derp.*

Later that night, after work, I walked to the MRT with Derpina and another colleague, Derpette.* Derpina once again complained about our noisy colleagues, to which Derpette’s reply was:

But then the next day:

Lol! Derpette was the victim of what the show How I Met Your Mother calls “spoiler alert” – sometimes you are immune to a person’s annoying habits until someone else points it out to you, “spoiling” that person for you. And afterwards, it cannot be unseen, or in this case, unheard! ;P

*Names of these people have been changed. Well obviously, duh? XD
