I hate white things because they get dirty so easily. That’s why I chose the black iphone both times I bought them (3gs and 4s), even though most people prefer white. But when I had to buy a macbook four years ago, I opted to buy white because it was the cheapest macbook available. I soon regretted that decision when I saw how dirty my keyboard became. Even though the keys were protected by a silicon protector, the trackpad was not. It was so dirty that I didn’t even bother to take a “before” pic because I am that ashamed of it!
Then one day while I was searching for wall decals online, I stumbled across decals of a different kind – Macbook keyboard stickers. I was so happy when I realized that this was the perfect solution to my problem! So I searched for a set that covered the entire keyboard and trackpad area, ordered it, and it got shipped a few weeks later.

It came in a rather wide package and after I collected it from the post office, I had to carry it around with me the entire day as I was out with my friends. So inconvenient! I’m just glad I didn’t forget it somewhere as I am wont to do.
When I got home, I excitedly opened it and painstakingly stuck all the stickers one by one on the trackpad, keys, etc. It’s not an exact fit, actually, maybe I ordered the wrong one or maybe my macbook is too old and the new macbooks have different keyboard specs now, I don’t know. But I made some adjustments and it looks just fine, in the end. Here’s the finished product, take a look:

And just like that, I have a keyboard that I’m no longer ashamed of! 😀
