Warning: the following post is NSFW. Sort of.
This happened some years ago when I was still living in Makati.
One work night we were rudely awakened from the throes of sleep by the sound of cats mewing loudly outside the window of our second floor bedroom. It wasn’t just a normal mewing, either, it was the really loud sound they make when they – well, you know, get it on.
Seriously, cats, get a room! |
I tried to ignore them and go back to sleep because this was in the middle of the night, or more like dawn, and I had to wake up early the next day for work. But have you heard how loud those cats can be? It was impossible to get back to sleep!
Finally, Zenie couldn’t take it anymore and forcibly opened the window, which was trapped shut with her double decker bed, and threw out one of her slippers at them while yelling “DAMN IT CATS, IF YOU DON’T WANT TO SLEEP, LET US SLEEP!” I heard a screech as the slipper must have hit its target, then there was silence afterwards, and we were able to get back to slumberland.
I don’t know if they were those same cats in the above picture, who were getting it on inside our compound gate on another occasion.
