Guess what? I blogged every day for March, April and June! That’s three months! 😀
3 months of doing this daily |
I’ve been blogging for more than 8 years and that’s the first time that’s happened. This year is the first time I’ve ever even blogged daily through one month.
And to think I started this year thinking I’d just blog once a month, just to keep my blog from dying. Since I started this blog back in 2005, you see, I’ve never skipped a month. I blogged only once in January and even though stuff happened that I wanted to preserve, I just couldn’t summon the will to write.
Then sometime in the middle of February, my close friends Chi and Ngangi started Not So Little Women, and while I gave them tips on how to get a blog started (I was their IT helpdesk, LOL!), that got me excited about blogging again. So I backposted 7 entries in January (LOL yes I do that) and just kept blogging, just kept blogging, just kept blogging blogging blogging (fist bump to you if you read that in Dory’s sing-song manner).
The daily spree ends here, though, because I’ll be off for two weeks on vacation this month and I won’t be able to blog then. I’ll schedule a few blogs to be posted while I’m gone just so this space won’t look so lonely, but I can’t manage 14 posts for that, so I think I’ll stop at the 3-month mark. 🙂
It’s been challenging but fun, and part of the reason I kept on was because of YOU, the one who is reading this. Thank you for dropping by and reading and commenting. In all my years of blogging this is the first time I’ve felt that I wasn’t just keeping a diary for myself. Hugs for you! (Or a fist bump, if you’re not a huggy kind of person.) 😉

That's a huge accomplishment, Dee! Not sure I could do that. It shows how creative you are. Today is blog blitz for you so I'm stopping by to say hello and giving you my best wishes. Have a great day.

Just by doing the quote to go with Dory's song, you are my hero. :-)

I am working hard to build up a pattern of blogging versus random and sporadic "Oh, wait, I have a blog, maybe I should write something." I've had to start scheduling in order to do it. So, fist bump to you for such a great streak!

Lyre @ Lyre&#

Hi Dee,

Wow, great work, Dee! 3 days is hard, 3 weeks is painful, but then at 3 months, it becomes a true habit. So I hope you get back into it after you vacation as I find writing every day has many benefits.

Have a great vacation, looking forward to your return!

Bradley from <a href="http

Congratulations Dee! Transitioning to daily blogging tales a lot of work, so that's an accomplishment. BTW you've been blitzed!
