Interpretative Dance

If all goes according to plan, right about now I should be celebrating my friend Caloy’s birthday with our other friends, my former colleagues from P&G, in Makati. I hope I’m not dancing an interpretative dance, though, because of this chat conversation I had a few days ago:

Me: Why are there only three of us in this chat? Are we planning something for Caloy?
Set: No. Unless you want to practice interpretative dancing.
Me: No thanks! You do it!
Set: RJ told me that you danced for him on his birthday. You and Caloy. So I said, he and you should dance for Caloy too. Hahaha. You have enough time to practice on Friday afternoon.
Me: OMG I don’t remember that we danced for him. Really? What did we dance? WHY???
April: You danced for RJ?? Hahaha. When was this?
Me: Seriously, I can’t remember. I am getting so old. If that’s true, then it was 5 years ago, so forgive me. 

Just then, a shadow of a memory starts to take form.

Me: Wait… RJ’s birthday… that was held in his condo, right?
April: Ahhh… that’s right! Was this the joint one with Rome? You and Caloy did do an interpretative dance there!!!
Me: I remember now. Hahahahahaha. OMG. Hahahahahahaha.
April: Bwahahahahahaha. OMG.
Me: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Damn it!
April: I remember your moves. Caloy had some moves which were like ballet.
Set: HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Me: I think there were pics of that!

So yep, it really did happen. Damn it.

Anyway, here are some more pictures of that event from last May 2008 that I had already forgotten about if Set hadn’t brought it up! Apparently, when she asked RJ if he knew me, the first thing he told her about me was this incident! So I guess the moral of the story is… even if you don’t remember, somebody else will? Or maybe, don’t dance an interpretative dance for somebody’s birthday? Hahaha, I don’t know! I haven’t laughed so hard in a long while, though, so I don’t mind that I did. 😀
