Wish List 2013

Thank you again for giving me my first (super advanced) birthday gift for this year, the ipad mini which was the #1 item on my wish list. It’s the perfect gadget to surf the web, read blogs and books, write blogs, and draw cartoons, and I adore it to bits!

Thank you so much for giving me my second (super advanced) birthday gift for this year, which was exactly what I wanted and a very generous one, at that!

I like to think that it’s symbolic that you bought it in Paris, my top dream place to visit. This beautiful Furla purple zip-around wallet will serve as an inspiration to me that someday, I, too, will see that dream come true, just like you did.

Dear Fairy Godmother,

I have no ball to attend and no prince to impress, so forget about the ball gown, glass slippers, and pumpkin. Here is a list of my material wants for my birthday instead:

– Real Techniques eye brushes and stippling brush
– Curling iron (for big curls)
– Tom Ford lipstick (in aphrodisiac, cherry lush or flamingo shade) My friends gave me Flamingo for my birthday! Yay!
– Fossil watch
– Portable cylinder battery charger that can charge both iphone 4s and ipad mini – My friends gave me one for my birthday! Yay!
– Fairy Drops mascara – I finally found one in Watsons Bugis and bought it.
– Urban Decay Naked palette – My friends gave me Naked 2 for my birthday! Yay!
– Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh – My friend gave me an ebook version.
– Leg warmers (because it’s winter in the office, brrr!) – Oops, I bought one for myself!
– Tangle Teezer detangling hairbrush – I finally bought one for myself!
– Macbook air – I bought something better – a Macbook Pro with retina display!
– Phantom of the Opera music CD

Dear Universe,

Thank you so much for giving me everything that I had in my wish list last year! Though I may have bought some of them myself, the point is, I do have them all now. I suppose there is some truth to the law of attraction after all. Or maybe there’s just value in telling people (including yourself) what you really want, because it makes them and you aware of it and then they or you can actually go and do something about it.
