Deetective
A few weeks ago, I had this chat with a friend about what happened in an episode of How I Met Your Mother.
H: Who was the person that picks up Lily?
Me: At first I thought it was the mother. Then I saw that the driver didn’t have driving gloves. But she does, just like Ted. So that rules her out. Then I noticed that Lily got in the back even though no one was riding shotgun, which you only do for hired cars. So it’s probably Ranjit.
H: Haha is that so?
Me: Well we’ll find out soon enough if I can be Sherlock or not. Hahaha.
H: I like how you gave a educated opinion on who it was. Shows how big of a fan you are.
Me: Hahaha. Why, what would your answer have been? What is a non-educated opinion??
H: I mean because your guess has logic and reasoning behind it. For me.. I haven’t seen it for so long so I really have no idea who it could be. I’m gonna say the guy that Lily couldn’t say no to. The high school guy that liked her or something. NPH ‘s real life husband.
Me: Ahhh… Scooter! The one who stares like a teacup pig.
H: Hahah yeah that’s the one.
I felt a teensy bit proud at that moment. I’m really good at deductions, aren’t I? Some friends have even called me a mind reader when I was able to predict exactly what they would do, like that time my two friends each went shopping for something and they asked us to guess what they bought and I knew exactly what they got.
I had an epiphany.
Looks like I shouldn’t be a detective after all. (I should have learned my lesson after I watched Non-stop and accused all the wrong people, huh?)
I really thought it was Ranjit too! I was pretty surprised although maybe half way through the most recent ep it hit me that she was probably pregnant. Seemed like the next logical step for their storyline!
I appreciate this!<br />Ladies, I am seriously too excited for the finale. This season has dragged a little but the last 2 episodes have really kicked it up a notch!

Has anyone else read some of the rumours about the ending……?
You mean about the mother being dead? Gah I hope it's not true. But the episode before this kind of sets it up!
I am excited for the finale too! I think the episode with the mother's back story was top notch!

I've always fancied myself as a bit of a mentalist. Or a script writer. Or both. But I'm neither.

Ok. I just remembered to come back and check on this… had no heard it but seriously?! Where have you guys heard this?<br />Although you know what, it actually makes a lot of sense. I'm just trying to remember if he's ever mentioned her in present tense when talking to the kids…
