A few weeks ago, I was in the Philippines to attend my friend Gay’s wedding. Our friend Maya and I, who were bridesmaid and maid of honor, checked into the same hotel where the bride was, so we wouldn’t have problems being on time for the morning wedding.
Our friend Ronald wanted to hang out with us on the night before the wedding because we hadn’t seen each other in years. We all used to be college classmates, then housemates in Makati City after graduation. After dinner at the hotel lounge, we found ourselves volunteering to steam iron the bride’s wedding gown so she could have her beauty sleep. And by “we” I mean Ronald.
Ronald really did end up ironing the dress because for some reason, Maya and I couldn’t figure out how to work the iron, and Ronald, the genius of our batch, was the one who managed to do so. Naturally.
It was Maya’s idea to make the above. LOL.
Here is another photo of us that night.
And here is a photo of us at Gay’s wedding.
And here is a photo of us at Zenie’s wedding two weeks later.
Zenie is also our college classmate and Makati housemate, and it’s no coincidence that her wedding is so close to Gay’s. Gay purposely asked for her permission to have her wedding two weeks before so that Zenie, who lives in UK, could definitely attend, as she knew that airfare is expensive.
We were all part of the entourages of both weddings, with Maya being Gay’s maid of honor and me being Zenie’s. So that is the story behind why I was on vacation for 18 days. I will post more about both weddings next time. Bye for now!

It’s so sweet that the weddings were planned so your friend could attend! This looks like SO much fun!

You look so great in that yellow!!! I also could not figure out our iron and then accidentally spilled the water for steaming that was in it all over the cupboard!
