A ceremony for Long Service Award (5 years) people was thrown in our pantry last Monday, and my friend Dred was one of the awardees.
Our MD asked each of them this question: “What was your most memorable moment in the company?” to which Dred gave the most memorable answer: “For the past five years it has been entertaining to see lots of VPs and SVPs transform to different personalities during DNDs and Christmas events.”
“Can you give an example?” our MD asked.
“Yes, I have seen Donna transform to Marilyn Monroe, Sal become the guy from hangover, and Chandra had that cool afro hair – he was like a cool Jamaican guy from somewhere.”
“He also transformed to Chandra Claus one time. I saw Vivek dance the gentleman. It’s exciting and cool to be with officemates who are also famous celebrities.”
People were cracking up at her answer. Good job, Dred!
Our MD then asked, “How about you, who did you transform into?”
Dred was stumped, so I jumped in, saying, “She and Sri transformed into masquerade king and queen at one of the DNDs!”
After they gave their answers, they were each given a gift: a 64gb iPod nano. Then when they were all done, champagne was poured for them while everyone else had cake.
The cake was as delicious as it was pretty.
Our pantry has also been decorated for halloween in time for our halloween themed pub quiz and game night this Friday, so I had them pose with the decors:
I got the IT guy to do it, too.
But Dred had also done a funny skeleton-mocking pose early on.
Congrats again, Dred! Do you realise that this is also the fifth anniversary of our friendship? So glad I met you! You’re one of my best blessings! (*Fans eyes*)
