2016 was a very memorable year, with all the crazy things that happened – Brexit, Trump, Harambe, etc. That’s a good thing for me, because it will make it easier to remember when my nephew was born.
Someday, when I’m out Christmas shopping and trying to remember if a particular toy is age-appropriate for him, I’d probably go, “Let’s see, 2020 minus – what year was he born again? Oh yeah, that year we don’t speak of – 2016. That makes him four, and totally old enough for this life size Doctor Strange hologram projector.”
Right now, though, he’s almost half a year old and not yet at that age where he can appreciate toys from Santa Auntie (Sauntie?), so I took to the wonder that is Google to research what to give babies, because I am absolutely no subject matter expert when it comes to them. I came across the Sophie the Giraffe teether which is apparently the holy grail teether of all teethers. Then this conversation happened:
Me: Does Zeth have a baby teether?
Brother: Yes, he does; did you want to get him one?
Me: I did, but if he already has one, then maybe not. What else can I get him?
Brother: A car seat.
Okay, can I just say how teethers and car seats are poles apart in price? 😅
Since I hadn’t bought Christmas presents for my brother and his wife, I decided to go ahead and get this Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite Convertible Car Seat as a joint Christmas present for them all because I obviously need to protect this adorable little one:
Isn’t he the cutest? 😍
The other gift I got for another adorable baby in my life, my goddaughter Jana, is this gorgeous pair of shoes that I found in Cotton On:
It’s kinda fun to shop for babies and kids, actually!
