When I was asked if I wanted to review Bioderma Sensibio H2O products, I couldn’t say yes fast enough.
I’ve been using Bioderma Sensibio micellar water for years and I’m a huge fan of the product! In just one step, Bioderma Sensibio H20 provides superior makeup removal and gentle cleansing, thanks to its unique restorative properties, skin is always left feeling soft and comfortable. Soap-, alcohol- and fragrance-free, this non-rinse cleanser refreshes, soothes and preps the skin for subsequent skincare.
Bioderma Sensibio H2O is also formulated with highly purified water – water that is completely free of impurities and irritants for pharmaceutical use. As the base ingredient, the superior grade of water used makes this cleanser ultra-gentle and a clear winner for sensitive skin.
I love having it in my bedroom for nights when I am too lazy to wash my make up off, and it’s especially handy for travel. I would just use three to four cotton pads to completely cleanse my whole face. It’s pretty good for taking off dirt and makeup, including mascara, so long as it’s not super waterproof mascara. My skin always feels so soft and clean afterwards.
I would recommend using this at night, on its own, or if you want to follow the Asian Beauty regimen called the double cleansing method, after removing the makeup, you can continue with your second cleanser – Bioderma Sensibio Gel Moussant.
It was my first time to try Bioderma Sensibio Gel Moussant, which is a new product in the Bioderma Sensibio range, and I loved it! It’s a gentle foaming gel with lipid-restoring properties that hydrates and calms sensitive skin. Enriched with skin conditioning ingredients such as coco-glucoside and glyceryl oleate, it also has lipid-restoring and moisturising properties.
Just like the micellar water, it is fragrance-free and looks and feels as pure as water. But once you apply it on your face, you can work it up to a lather.
I love my newly discovered double cleansing method more than just using singular cleansing because it makes my face feel so much cleaner so that it can absorb my other beauty products more effectively afterwards! So if you haven’t tried it, please do! Your skin will thank you.
If you can’t be bothered, though, you can just use this on its own.
Another new Bioderma Sensibio product I tried is not used for cleansing, but is still a highly recommended beauty product.
Bioderma Sensibio Dermatological Water is a face and body soothing spray made of highly purified water enhanced with an ideal balance of minerals that calms skin while maintaining healthy skin cells.
Using highly purified water that is enhanced by a perfect balance of mineral salts and oligo-elements, the Bioderma Sensibio Dermatological Water soothes skin while maintaining healthy skin cells. A remarkable ally for sensitive skin, it combats various skin reactive signs. Soothing agents such as mannitol, rhamnose and zinc also provide quick and lasting relief to sensitive skin.
You can use this product to set your makeup in between layers, like my makeup artist did when he put on my maid-of-honour makeup for me recently.
But its biggest use, hands down, is refreshing your face when you’re outdoors in ridiculously hot Singapore.
I love that the water comes out as a fine mist, so it’s not too much and doesn’t ruin your makeup. It’s perfect to keep yourself cool and your skin hydrated.
All these products can be bought at Watsons, Guardian, Unity, Robinsons, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and National Skin Centre, with prices below.
