It was Arlyn’s birthday yesterday, so we went out to celebrate it at her favourite Spanish restaurant, the same place where we celebrated her birthday two years ago. The difference is that in place of her brother, we had another guest – her boyfriend Sebastien.
We had some tapas and paella. The paella was my fave.
Sebastien also introduced us to his favourite Spanish wine – a delicious red wine called RIOJA.
It was my first time to meet Sebastien, and we got on pretty well. He has a good sense of humor, and I always like that in new people I meet, so I don’t have to sit through awkward conversations.
At one point I excused myself to go to the loo but actually wanted to order a birthday cake for Arlyn. The waiter was Filipino.
Later on, said waiter went to our table and asked me in tagalog as to who had the birthday, not knowing that Arlyn could understand him because he thought she wasn’t Filipino. 😅 Arlyn just played it cool and acted like she hadn’t heard anything.
Shortly after that, he and a few other waiters and waitresses showed up, singing happy birthday and putting the molten lava cake with a birthday candle in front of Arlyn. She blew out the candle, then we ate it. It was really yummy!
Side note: I love how glowy Arlyn’s skin has become, thanks to her drinking collagen everyday! I mean, she totally doesn’t look like she’s [AGE REDACTED].
We all loved the food and conversation, and Arlyn liked my birthday gift, which was a mixture of two of her faves – Hello Kitty and Paris. It was a fun night out.

That paella looks delish – I’m still yet to try an authentic version but hoping to hop across to Spain this year for my tapas fix. Looks like she had a lovely birthday (even if the cake surprise was ruined slightly!) x
