One of the must-visit places in London for foodies or photographers or both is the Borough Market. Luckily, my dear hosts AA and Melvin knew this and brought me ’round one fine Saturday that I was there last September.
AA was super excited to go to the Borough Market for her favourite sugar donuts from Bread Ahead.
This wouldn’t be the first seller to photobomb my pictures 😄
I had this donut which I fell in love with. It’s quite possibly the best donut I’ve ever had! The oozing salted caramel filling contrasted nicely with the sweet honeycomb topping. 😋
There were so many stalls full of food in the Borough Market! I was so confused on which to buy!
Look at all these hunks of cheese!
These look very pretty. Wonder what they taste like?
I was intrigued by the Borough Market oyster bar but the queue was too long.
Photobomber #2 – I giggled whenever they smiled for my camera because this rarely happens in Singapore.
I finally decided to have some duck confit and I was stunned at how big the portion was!
How on earth was I supposed to finish that by myself? 😅
Of course, the Borough Market had a section for the chocoholic! I bet I could eat one huge chunk of chocolate in one sitting, without even trying hard. I didn’t buy any, though, because of that reason.
But I have always wanted to try English fudge, so I picked and mixed a few. My fave was the clotted cream fudge.
This being London, of course there was a section for alcohol as well. I spotted the Pimms. I have often read of this drink in books, so of course I wanted to try it!
Photobomber #3. It’s pimm’s o’clock!
I liked it – fruity, like a ladies’ drink. No wonder the ladies in the books I read always drink it! 😄
And oh, finally, here’s a pic of Melvin, who was our diligent photographer. I don’t know who that other girl is and why she’s laughing.
Missing the Borough Market, and London as a whole! Take me back!!! 😫
