My friend and former boss Edwin was on a business trip in Singapore a few days ago, so I met up with him and our other former colleague Nomel, who I didn’t know until then has been in Singapore for as long as I have been.

We met up for lunch at Hawker Chan so that we could try the famous Michelin starred soya sauce chicken. There was a long queue but it moved quite quickly and we luckily managed to snag a table inside.

While the chicken is delicious, I honestly can’t say that it’s way better than others that I have eaten in other places.

After lunch we just walked around Chinatown and talked about all sorts of things, including former colleagues, what happened back then, and where they are now.
Then Edwin and I rode the same bus to Katong, where he was staying, and we discussed Avengers Endgame which we had both watched the night before, but separately. I hope nobody had gotten spoiled from eavesdropping on our conversation! At least we were speaking in Tagalog!
