I decided to hop on one of the Pandemic trends – Paint by Numbers. I’m sure you know a friend or more who have gotten into this hobby recently.
My friends said they found it relaxing, so I thought, hey, why not, it’s not as if I have anything else to do, right?
So I ordered one from Canvas by Numbers. The design I chose is called “bucolic landscape” and the reason I chose it is because it reminded me of that time I went to Mayfield Lavender Fields in UK.
It arrived 3 days after I ordered. It came with a rolled up canvas with the painting-to-be drawn out with numbers, three small brushes, small pots of paint, and a guide. It also came with the additional professional brushes and DIY frame I ordered.
I started from the top and worked my way downwards.
Remember how my friends said they found it relaxing? Not for me. I think I’m differently wired, maybe? I felt pressured to finish it instead.
So much so that I finished it in two days. Everyone I knew was shocked. 😅
A friend of mine said she was working on one which is exactly the same as mine, and she has been working on it for a month and had only finished the sky.
I did enjoy it, though. It made me feel accomplished. Especially after I mounted it on its DIY frame and put it up on my dining room wall.
