Wish List 2020

I say this every year – the history for this is that many years ago, a friend asked me what I wanted for my birthday so I made a list for her to choose from. Other friends decided to use that list as well, so it became an annual thing.

All caught up? Great! I decided to challenge myself and make a list with the whole alphabet:

1. Apple gift card. An HK Apple store e-gift card of any amount can contribute towards an iPhone to replace my 4-year old one. Two friends gave me a voucher!
2. Boots (size Euro 40). For the first time, I am living in a country with 4 seasons, so I am excited to wear boots in the fall/winter. I bought a couple of boots over the winter – over the knee suede ones from Millie’s and ankle length buttery leather ones from Staccato.
3. Candles. My faves are the three-wick scented candles from Bath & Body Works. My former boss gave me a Diptyque candle in Mimosa for our Christmas gift exchange. It was way over the 20 usd limit.
4. Down and feather pillow. Like the Gulkavle from Ikea. I bought this and it’s not as nice as I thought it would be.
5. Electric kettle. I don’t have one yet and have been using my Nespresso machine to get hot water. A friend gave me a Kitchen Aid one!
6. Flowers. I love fresh flowers! 💐 Two friends sent me a bouquet in a vase!
7. Groceries. Low carb goodies would be great!
8. Heartfelt message. I treasure heartfelt notes. I got these!
9. Instant pot. My friends have been raving about it so I have FOMO. Gift card option: Amazon (US). My besties got me one!
10. Jewelry. Nickel-free earrings or necklace. I was gifted a necklace with my birthstone as a pendant.
11. Kindle. I want to get back to reading books again. Gift card option: Amazon (US). I bought this but haven’t really used it as often as planned.
12. Lamp. I am eyeing the Mijia Mi Beside Lamp 2, a smart light which can be controlled by an app on your phone, so you can turn it on even before you enter the bedroom, or turn it off without having to get up. Bought this and I love it!
13. Makeup. I’d love to try anything! But if you want specifics: Hourglass veil mineral primer, Beauty Blender sponge, Benefit Hoola bronzer. I bought these myself.
14. Nespresso capsules. I like not so intense coffee. ☕️
15. Osmo Mobile 3. The DJI gimbal can be used with a mobile phone to reduce shaky footage.
16. Pajamas or sleep shirt. I wear size UK 14. Gift card option: Asos. Bought way too many of these coz they were also perfect WFH outfits.
17. Queen size duvet. Size 200cm x 200cm is probably the standard one. I bought a modal comforter from Esprit
18. Roseau bag. I think the Longchamp medium roseau leather tote in red looks pretty. CLOY fans might recognise it as one of the bags that Se-ri used, but hers was black.
19. Sunglasses. I would love the Gentle Monster Her square frame sunglasses in black. CLOY fans might recognise it as one of the sunnies that Se-ri used, but hers was not black. Are you starting to see a pattern here? 😅 I bought these when I was just supposed to be checking them out at a store with a friend. Oops.
20. Travel-sized skincare. I’d love to try anything! My main skin concern is dark spots. Gift card option: Sephora HK. I got these for Christmas.
21. Useful things. Whatever you find useful, I’m sure I will, too! Or a unicorn. I guess that will work, too.
22. Vacation. The pandemic has severely restricted travel, so it would have be a staycation. I got this for myself!
23. Wall clock. A classy-looking one to hang in the living room, or a small white desk clock for the home office area. I bought a nice rose gold and white one from Amazon.
24. X-Men? Okay, I have no ideas for this letter, but I do love the X-Men, so that’s probably also okay… I guess? But no xylophones, please.
25. Yoga mat. I should probably start exercising again. I bought one to use for an office yoga session
26. Zoom call. I would be thrilled to have a video chat! Got lots of these.

Oh boy, that wasn’t as easy to do as I thought, but it was fun! 😄
