Over the weekend I walked into Sasa Supreme, their flagship store in Causeway Bay. I was just supposed to buy some deodorant but then I noticed this everywhere in the shop:
So I ended up buying these as well:
In my defense, all of these (except for the Caudalie grape water) are my Holy Grail products so I would have bought them in the future anyway, and these were super cheap, and they were legit on sale and not like those fake sales in some stores where they put up a fake original price and a fake marked down price.
The discounts were gigantic, like for example, Laneige water sleeping mask is usually H$205 but now going for just H$82! That’s 60% off!
My fave Mediheal IPI lightmax ampoule mask which I last bought for H$113 a box from an online store was down to H$50 a box if you buy two.
Laneige cream skin refiner which I last bought for H$216 online was down to H$125.
Of course I had to stock up! So what if I still have some left at home, it’s backstock, okay? 😅
I don’t know if it’s sale season in Hong Kong right now because a few days before that, I had wandered into DFS also in Causeway Bay to check out the Mac counter and they were also having a sale of 40% to 50% discount on select items. So I ended up with this haul:
I bought a couple of Mac shadows to use for contouring, lip primer, face primer, lip brush, and Ruby Woo lipstick in a limited edition case. I have long wanted to buy a Ruby Woo lipstick but used to be put off by how drying it was until I discovered it was tolerable with lip primer.
There was also a Nars counter in DFS so I bought Funny Face lipstick which was 50% off and to my surprise, the saleslady gave me a free Nars eyeliner on top of that! Maybe for signing up for DFS membership? I’m not sure.
I don’t really have a defense for that except ummm… lockdown made me miss putting on makeup? Does that count? 😜
I don’t know if it’s sale season like how we have the GSS or Great Singapore Sale but I’m just happy I was at the right place at the right time both times. Serendipity! 😉
