Today we held our social committee kickoff event in our office pantry.
We gave out bubble tea and cakes to all our colleagues who came with a filled out survey form.

We had a photo booth corner which was my suggestion and we didn’t even spend anything on it because my colleague Jo and I just brought props we already have and used our own phones to snap photos.

My colleague Rob brought his guitar and we sang I Want It That Way and a few other songs.

We also set up some games like a basketball hoop, bowling, and beer pong without the beer, which turned out to be a major hit. I was one of the first to play it to establish the rules and our team won so I insisted on a photo. After that, we took every team’s photo after they finished a game.

I spent a lot of time getting to people to play no-beer pong, cheering them on, playing when no one else would, taking photos, and singing.
No wonder I felt exhausted afterwards! But it was okay, coz it was satisfying.
Especially after a lot of people thanked me for doing a good job afterwards!
Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, so I’d say our event was a success!
