My Philippine Independence Day was a busy one. After going to our first junk boat party, May and I headed to her home to have dinner with her friends Beulah and King.
We ordered delicious chicken wings to supplement cold cuts, cheese, and sushi bought by May and a pasta dish cooked by King which we forgot to include in the picture. We also had some leftovers from the junk boat party.
While waiting for the wings to be delivered, Beulah brought out a pack of Exploding Kittens (which someone accidentally called Exploding Kitchen at one point), a card game she brought along.
She explained how to play the game and we played a couple of rounds which she both won.
At some point I also demonstrated how to use May’s Nespresso machine and gave coffee capsule recommendations based on their coffee preference.
Beulah was so impressed that she decided she wanted to buy her own machine as well. We made a joke about how I’m such an influencer (because I was the one who influenced May to buy her Nespresso as well).
Then we broke for dinner when the chicken arrived, after which, we asked May’s hubby Mico to join us in playing Exploding Kittens. He eventually won a round or two, and so did King.
I am not really that good with strategy games, but I really do enjoy them! If you like them, I recommend Exploding Kittens.
Overall, it was a fun night!
