At the beginning of this year, my friend May introduced me to the Luna by Penhaligon’s perfume when she bought one at a Penhaligon’s shop in a mall.
When I tried it, I immediately fell in love with its refreshing scent. According to Fragrantica.com: Top notes are Lemon, Bergamot and Bitter Orange; middle notes are Rose, Juniper Berries and Jasmine; base notes are Balsam Fir, Musk and Ambergris.
At that point, my perfume bottle was still quite full, and also Luna is a bit pricey at H$1700, so I told myself to wait until there was a sale before I bought it.
Then yesterday, I was scrolling through StrawberryNet.com when I realized that they finally had Luna back in stock and it was H$270 cheaper compared to the shop’s.
It turns out Penhaligon’s doesn’t go on sale. Or at least if not never then rarely, because every time I swung by their shop to check, it was not.
So of course I had to buy it because my current perfume is now half empty, which is totally a good reason, right? 😜
By the way, according to Fragrantica, Nectarine Blossom & Honey by Jo Malone notes are: Top notes – Green Notes, Black Currant and Petitgrain; middle notes – Nectarine and Black locust; base notes – Peach, Plum and Vetiver. So I guess I like light, fruity and floral scents.
Anyway, I put the order in yesterday and was pleasantly surprised when it got delivered today. So fast! I’m impressed not just with the speed but also how they packaged it. It was well protected with bubble wrap, and not the kind with tiny bubbles, too, but the better quality one.
Once I cut it open, I saw the pretty box which was not at all dented.
What’s amazing about Penhaligon’s Luna perfume is that it is very long lasting! Usually other perfumes’ smell dissipate from my wrists by noon, but this one lasted until the evening. I’m shook.
And yes, StrawberryNet seems legit. I first discovered it a few weeks ago when I realized my holy grail lipstick – Becca in the shade sorbet – was getting discontinued and I could no longer find it anywhere else online – except this wonderful website. Since I was running low, I ordered a backup and it came quickly, too, and I can confirm it’s legit because I compared it to the one I have and they look identical.
I don’t know why they’re discontinuing it. It’s not just the shade I love (the perfect mid pink) but the formula, which is moisturizing yet pigmented and long lasting. 😢
I’m glad I discovered StrawberryNet and will definitely be buying more beauty products from there in the future!
