Last Saturday, I had afternoon tea with May and Carol at Tiffin in Grand Hyatt Hotel. May had wanted to try this place for a while now, she said, and had booked it two months ago. That’s how popular it is on weekends.
There’s only one set for afternoon tea, so you can’t choose the treats on the tea set but you can choose the tea. I forgot to take a picture of the tea section of the menu, so I don’t remember which teas we chose, but all of them were a miss, especially the pear green tea one which we left too long to steep so it was so bitter.
What made the experience a lot nicer was the sound of live piano.
After we were done, we went shopping in Central and I discovered my new favourite perfume: Tiffany’s Sheer. May suggested we try smelling it while we were inside Tiffany’s, and I fell in love with the scent. I did not buy it there, though, I found it for so much cheaper on Strawberrynet.
After a lot of walking around, we got hungry and walked into Nepal Restaurant at Staunton for dinner. The food is very similar to Indian food. I liked the cheese naan and chicken barbeque but the cottage cheese and fish dish not so much.
