Today I feel old because I bought reading glasses from Owndays.
I’ve never had to wear specs my entire life so this is a milestone.
I realized I needed them when I noticed that the letters on my computer screen looked smaller and fuzzier and I had to make them larger. It suddenly reminded me of a time when my former teammate Guohao complained to me about why everything on my screen was so small. I used to be able to read them that way, that’s why.
Well, not anymore.
I wasn’t even sure, at first, but dropped by Owndays at Lee Tung Avenue anyway, and when the optometrist (I think?) asked me to test some lenses… yup, confirmed. I can definitely read things better with reading glasses than without.
I always knew I would eventually need reading glasses but I assumed it would be in my forties or something. But nope. At the sweet age of 39 it is.
At least the frames I chose look kind of cute.
