It’s April Fool’s Day today, so be extra cautious about taking everything you read/hear today at face value. For example, Burga just sent me an email with the subject “95% OFF everything?” but when you open it, the message says:
First of all, I couldn’t possibly stock up on 10 years worth of phone cases because I would probably be changing my phone in 4 years or so, right?
And second of all, I have been put off from buying from them because the last thing I bought took well over a month to arrive. I ordered it on Feb 11, it was shipped out on Feb 18, and only reached me on March 26. The tracking number they sent on the email wasn’t even working properly. They only gave me the correct one after I emailed a sarcastic complaint.
To be fair, they do have pretty products.
I got a tough case for my iPhone. I’m having a hard time taking a pic of it, so I’ll just use their website photo, because it looks exactly as pictured anyway. The color is called “Nostalgia Feeling” and I love it because I love purple and gold.
I also got a Macbook case in the color “Hot Cocoa” and it looks like this:
It sort of matches by blog header, I realize. I can’t remember if I chose it for that reason because as I said, it was such a long time ago when I ordered it!
Maybe this was also part of Burga’s April Fools prank? 🤔
I actually do like to play and receive good-natured pranks, though. I talked about some of the best ones I witnessed last year in episode 30 of our podcast. You can listen to it below or look for Banana Q: a Filipino flavored podcast on Spotify, Apple, or wherever you listen to podcasts.
