When I was a student, one of the highlights of my life was shopping for school supplies at a shop called Golden Bell before every start of a school term.
Maybe that’s why until now, I get weirdly happy whenever I find myself in a stationery supply store or bookstore. That’s where I found myself today. I was looking for printer ink but they did not have any. I decided to buy some pens instead.

My favorite pen used to be the Pilot G-tec pen. They were expensive for me back then – something like 50 pesos – but I loved them because they made my handwriting look great.
Well today, I couldn’t find any in the huge stack of Pilot pens. Maybe they discontinued them? The end of a pen era.
I did discover that Pilot acroball pens wrote very smoothly, though, so I bought a couple, along with a Pilot juice pen in metallic purple.

While in there I also saw a few other things, like paintings and books.
I toyed with buying a copy of The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse, but decided to see if I could buy it for cheaper online. I saw the movie version of this book and it’s a touching story, kind of like The Little Prince.
