Fantastic Thursday
After lunch I read an email announcing that we would be having a “fantastic Thursday” at the pantry at quarter to three. Rodel explained that it is a quarterly event that means we get to have a feast. When we stepped into the pantry, we saw a spread of sandwiches, pastries, yogurt pots, fruits, and three huge chocolate cakes from Secret Recipe for the September babies. Oh yeah, that includes me! That’s why my name is on one of the cakes.

I didn’t really get to each much, though, since I was still so full from my noodle lunch. So Ivy and I packed up all the food we couldn’t finish and stashed them in the fridge so that we could eat them for dinner. But even after serving those for dinner, I still couldn’t finish everything so I brought home a lot of cake for my roommates. I know just how much Cate loves chocolate-flavored sweets.
This was certainly a fantastic break, especially since it’s that time of the month – monthend.
