I Have Been Blog Blitzed!

Yesterday, I was blitzed!

Let me explain.

DL Hammons of Cruising Altitude 2.0 had a thought:

What would it be like if the support, encouraging nature, and community spirit of the blogosphere were ever focused on a single blogger? What would it feel like to be the recipient of that kind of exposure? Could something like that even be possible? Can the power of the blogosphere be harnessed and directed?

And that’s how he came up with BLOG BLITZ.

He created a linky list where people signed up with their names, blogs and email addresses which makes them a member of the Blitz Team. Then from time to time, he will select a deserving blog (that must be part of the Blitz Team) and a specific date. He will then email the team members that information and on that date they all will go out of their way to visit that blog and leave an encouraging comment on their most recent post.

What a wonderful idea, eh?

Well yesterday, I was the lucky one chosen to be blitzed! And I was so happy and amazed when I got a total of 143 comments on my latest blog post, not counting the comments that the blitzers decided to leave on my other blog posts that they checked out as well.

A lot of those comments were nice, touching comments which warmed the cockles of my heart.

Unfortunately I’m off on a vacation on Thursday and have a lot of loose ends to tie up before I leave so I don’t have time to thank everyone personally one by one yet. So I decided to give this blanket thank you note to everyone, for now.

THANKS, YOU GUYS!!! 143!!! 😀 😀 😀

And special thanks to DL Hammons, YOU THE MAN!
