Krispy Kreme has finally made it to Singapore. They opened their first branch in Tangs, Orchard, last week. Someone from another team bought a couple of boxes for his team this week. My friend Tinay is from his team, so she got dibs on a couple of them which she shared with me.
It’s not my first time to try Krispy Kreme, actually, as this has been in the Philippines for years. Truth be told, I find it too sweet.
That didn’t stop me from eating an original glazed one and a strawberry-filled one dusted with confectionery sugar though. I realized that I preferred the glazed one. I guess there’s a reason that that is their most popular flavor, eh?

According to this news article I read, there was a queue of more than 200 at the store when it first opened last week. The first, second, and third in the queue received a year’s, six months’ and three months’ supply of donuts, respectively.
How do they determine what a month’s supply is, I wonder? Is it a donut or a box a day or do you get a voucher which says you can eat all the donuts you want in the store but have to pay for leftovers, like a Chinese buffet?
Or maybe it’s just vouchers with a fixed amount, like what we won from Donut Empire from their photo contest

I definitely prefer the regular glazed ones. Yum!
Krispy Kreme aren't my favourite donuts either. (I like Dunkin Donuts) But I still like them 😉 x
