This afternoon, Cate and I met a new acquaintance who asked us if we were sisters. It’s a question we get asked a lot, actually, from Thais to Singaporeans to Filipinos. So I thought about taking a picture of us together using my laptop’s Photobooth to blog about it. And that was how it started, innocently enough.
But it was no ordinary night. It was Halloween. So the next thing you know, this had happened:
We decided to greet all our friends who were online on YM by showing ourselves on webcam.
Jeng got so frightened, she immediately turned off the webcam.
Flisha scolded us for scaring her, and I explained that that was kind of the point. She later asked if she can turn off the webcam because she was alone in the condo. Haha.
Ira asked us to do a scary pose so she could take a screenshot of us and post it on Facebook.
Karma would come quickly for us, though. At close to midnight, a knock on our door sent Cate into a fit of “Who’s that?? Who’s that??” with her arm around me. It turned out to be a guy delivering flowers for Tatsie. Flowers on halloween?!?! Now that’s scary.
Can you please at least tell me if we do look alike? Because that was kind of what this was supposed to be about.
