Elma’s Birthday in Bakerzin
Last Thursday Elma invited us to celebrate her birthday with dinner at Bakerzin.
I had my favorite pasta dish – spaghetti aglio olio. It was good, but it could’ve been better. However I loved the spaghetti bolognese which I swiped from Cate’s plate, the tomato soup which tasted like spaghetti sauce, and the strawberry-flavored Italian soda.
Then we had a surprise for Elma – a birthday strawberry cheesecake. It was sooo good! I’ve always loved Bakerzin’s cakes.
Elma said she really enjoyed her birthday. We did, too. Not just because of the food but also the company and the conversation. I especially enjoyed Elma’s story of how she broke the news to her dad that she was engaged. Winner! XD
