Last Christmas, I gave you my heart… err… I mean we had an early Christmas party. This year, to save me from tears… drats, can’t seem to stop singing… I mean, we did it again. This time we held it at Rodel and Monet’s place, and it happened last Sunday.
We once again used the SecretSanta website for our kris kringle and some of last year’s food was repeated – Mark’s humba, my pork liempo (which I marinated but Maya cooked while Gay chopped) and Brian’s Swensen’s ice cream log cake. Aside from that, we also had spaghetti, roasted chicken, mango float, soda and wine. Everything was delicious.
I asked everyone to wear red or green outfits and bring santa hats. Almost everyone did as I said, apparently because they’re afraid of me, according to Chi. LOL.
All I need is a pair of knee high red, fur-trimmed boots and I’m Mrs. Santa. Dress – Forever 21, Cardigan – Cotton On, Santa hat – Divisoria. LOL. |

Aside from being a Christmas party, this event was also a birthday party and wedding shower. We brought out a couple of small cakes for the birthday peeps – Maya and Ervyn.

Then we had a game of charades involving wedding movies, romantic terms and naughty slang. I assigned Anne to be in charge so I could play, for once. We broke into two teams – Brian and Elma. I belonged to the latter, which turned out to be the winning team. Woohoo! As a consequence, Brian had to dance for Elma. LOL!

Then we had our exchange gifts session while singing our traditional hometown kris kringle song – ♪ I love my manita yes I do (repeat 3x)… I love my manita but I won’t tell you! ♪
I am secret santa to Maya, and it turns out Mark was mine. He gave me a “white cardigan” case for my camera. It’s a long story, but suffice it to say that there’s a hilarious story behind what I just said.

Then Anne had one more game for the couple Brian and Elma and I laughed so hard, my tummy hurt. Loved how game these two were! Loved Anne’s questions! From now on, she’ll be our game master. She does a much better job than me!
It was a very fun party indeed. Here are some more pictures. All pictures I posted here were taken by Brian. The group shots were made possible by his gadgets – tripod and remote control, the works!
