The popular Twelve Cupcakes recently opened a shop in Changi Citipoint, which is near our office, so I was finally able to try them.
They have twelve everyday flavours (thus the name) plus the daily special and they all looked so pretty and delicious that I was stumped as to what to order.
I finally asked the cashier which was their bestseller and she said that it was the red velvet, pointing to a cupcake with a cute red heart on top. Since I’m a fan of cream cheese frosting, I decided to order that. But then I was also a chocoholic, so their daily special, the chocolate salted caramel, also beckoned to me. Argh, which one? As usual, I was struck with abulia, or an inability to choose. Then I remembered that I had two of my friends with me so I did not have to choose between the two! I could try both! And a third one, as well. So I ordered a chocolate chocolate (who can say no to chocolate cream cheese on a moist chocolate cupcake?) to complete the box of three’s.

After polishing off our lunch at Asian Kitchen, which was located right next to Twelve Cupcakes, we opened the box and had our desserts, all of us sticking our forks alternately into all three cupcakes. They were all so delicious that I couldn’t make up my mind on which I liked best. But if forced to choose just one, fine, I’d probably go for chocolate salted caramel.
I’d say these are probably the best cupcakes I have ever had, with super yummy cream cheese frosting and a moist cupcake to boot! It’s definitely a must try. Check out their website for details on where to find them. 🙂
