Near our office in Wan Chai there is a great spot for a salad buffet. It’s called Congress Plus and you usually need to make a lunch reservation because it’s quite popular.
The restaurant is spacious with wide glass panes that let in a lot of light and show a beautiful view of Hong Kong’s famous skyline. It reminds me of a hotel dining area. I like coming here because of the ambiance. It’s a perfect backdrop for fun conversations.
The salad buffet bar has a lot of options. On greens alone they have kale, romaine lettuce, iceberg lettuce, red cabbage.
There are also so many toppings options like cubed ham, couscous, quinoa, pineapple, carrots, cheese, all the usual suspects. There are also several salad dressings to choose from and I usually go for honey balsamic vinegar.
Aside from the typical DIY salad buffet they offer a lot of pre-mixed salads or sides like Thai chicken salad, roasted vegetable couscous or slow cooked chicken breast.
They even have this colourful fancy looking beetroot and quinoa salad.
They also have soup and dessert.
But if that’s not enough for you, you can order mains which will cost you more. At our most recent visit last Thursday, my friend ordered a chicken and mushroom risotto and it tasted delicious.
But the buffet salad by itself is usually enough for me and it costs H$151.80 inclusive of service charge.
