After bonding with Drew, I got my things and packed them and myself in a cab headed to Marriott Hotel in Resorts World Manila. I didn’t know there was one! Resorts World, that is.
This was my second time to stay at Marriott hotel with AP folks, though the first time was in Singapore. This time around, it’s Rhea who has points to afford us the free room. So thanks to our sponsor!
When I got there, Caloy, Rhea, and Jen were in the room. Later we were joined by Kay and April and they also invited their friend Chrisette to come, telling me that the two of us should meet because we are so alike in personality. They even insisted that I should be the one to fetch her from the lobby to get our friendship started immediately. Hahaha!
We ordered at Jollibee for dinner. It was supposed to be at McDo but I asked if we could do Jollibee instead, since we don’t have that in Singapore. Then we spent the night talking, posing for pictures, looking at people on Facebook (Chrisette brought her laptop) and at around 3am, we played charades, which turned out to be really hilarious.
Notable Poses:
Kay – Precious Hearts Romance
Rhea – Troll Pose
April – Liyad
Chrissete – Tabingi ang ulo sa right
Dee – Ang bidang Kontrabida
Notable Lines:
– Kung may timbangan, nasa isang side si X tapos sa kabila naman si X… Sino ang ima-mouth-to-mouth mo?
– …. …. kung patay na ang kabayo!
– … … and so are we!
Funny Charades:
– Haw haw de Carabao (by Kay)
– Babangon ako at dudurugin ka (by Chenelyn)
– Pepeng Agimat (by Caloy)
– Ano Ba Yan (by Dee)
And here are the pictures:
After showering and packing my stuff, April, Caloy and Chrisette brought me downstairs so I could flag a cab to take me to the NAIA 3 airport, which was just across the road from the hotel.
When the cab came, April and Caloy simultaneously enveloped me in a hug and April asked, “Naiiyak ka na ba?” (Do you want to cry?) I laughed and asked why she was asking that, as I didn’t actually feel that then.
But when the cab doors had shut and we drove off, that was when I did. I was leaving home again. And a pang of sadness suddenly hit me square in the chest – at the spot where the map of my country was embossed. Goodbye, Philippines. 🙁
Glad I saw you again, though. See you again in December!
