A Morning in Clarke Quay

So  this morning I went to Clarke Quay to pick up my new employment pass at MOM (Ministry of Manpower). I had a new photo taken and I was quite happy with it. Then it turns out I didn’t need to submit a picture because they used the one in the system. So that means I’ll forever be identified with sparse brows, a zit on my forehead and a crooked part in the middle of my straight hair.  And that’s six bucks down the drain. Oh well. On the bright side, I got my epass right then and there and don’t need to come back.

I love MOM’s efficiency, by the way. And their waiting area is really comfy too.

While waiting for my name to be flashed on the screen, I saw a young girl and her father goofing off and doing a cute dance together – a scene that warmed my heart. I also noticed that the glass walls afforded a wonderful view of Singapore’s best structures.

The Singapore Flyer and the Titanic (Marina Bay Sands)

The UFO building (Supreme Court) and Anderson Bridge

After I got my epass, I passed by Central to grab a bite to eat before heading to the airport to fetch Gay. I recognized the muffins that Chi always eats for breakfast from her pictures and decided to try out the peanut butter and oreo flavor. Not bad for something healthy. Or part of it, anyway. The muffin is whole wheat. Check them out at Muffins Marvel, basement floor  of Central, Clarke Quay.
